Heat Protection:
Layers of cotton batting over Insul-bright fabric protect from heat. With Insul-bright, hollow polyester fibers resist conduction while the mylar reflects heat back to its source. Potholders are heat-RESISTANT, NOT heat-proof. NOT FOR USE IN MICROWAVE. (Because mylar is metal and microwaves and metal don't mix). Totally machine washable, but hanging to dry will prolong its life.
